So what are our future plans? Once we have a solid list of assets under management and we have the business humming along smoothly with plenty of excess profit to allocate, what do we do with it?
We believe in the spending model called the 10-10-10-70 model. Although we adjust the numbers a little bit. Ours is more like 5-11-10-74.
5% is ours to do with as we please.
11% is Tithe to The Lord
10% is for charity
74% is to Reinvest in our businesses.
So I’d like to talk about the two items on that list that matter to you dear reader. 10% for charity. and 74% for reinvestment.
As a Christian, I believe usury is a sin. Debt slavery is immoral, but the reality is many Americans have become trapped by it. Caught in a vicious cycle of debt restructuring or borrowing from Peter to pay Paul. I myself became a victim of our debt based economy early on, convinced to take out student loans that never paid for themselves, I was forced to payoff my student debt with a low paying job completely removed from the industry I was trained in. For those reasons, once our company has reached certain internal metrics, we will begin looking for ways to start up that avenue of charitable giving.
Some might ask; why not just give to an existing charity? Answer: Corruption
Many existing charities exist purely as money laundering schemes for political interests, or as piggy banks for greedy board members with ridiculous salaries.
We’ll pass thanks.
But where we have really big plans is where we will be focusing our profits. If you read the Mission section of the website, you know our ultimate goal is to create culture. We miss when Hollywood made movies like The Lord of the Rings. We will bring back excellence to story telling. No gender or race swapping as a cheap gimmick to pander to some nebulous ‘modern audience’, no glorification of terrible people or terrible ideas.
Adventurous Publications will tell stories that inspire people to live Adventurously! To be the best versions of themselves, to lift each other up and build communities with each other. We will tell stories about light triumphing over darkness.
